Touchbar widget — how it works

The widget through which a student sets a graded physics parameter by gesture and commits it. Three skins — a drag-arrow, a force slider, and a crank — shown across the three modes the curriculum needs. Every gesture is click–move–click: click to start, move to set, click to lock; Confirm arms only once the value is locked. Commit with a click or Enter. The real lab cases, with their actual instruments and units, are on the Case-by-case page. A dual drag-arrow — two sides set consecutively, the live production element — is shown at the foot of this page.

The three skins

Each widget has its own mode toggle. Qualitative and Quantitative are the same push/spin gesture reading out as a level word or as a number; Pull reverses the linear gesture (you pull, right→left) to read force on a graduated spring scale (the crank has no Pull). Units here are illustrative; the real ones live in the cases.
